You can usually find them by doing a Google search, but please be careful: there are sites that pretend to make these available, while trying to trick you into clicking on or downloading something other than what you were looking for.

• Microsoft Office 365- It costs $99 per year, but you can use it on FIVE machines at one time. There is more available in this package than most people will ever use.


• Libre Office- A widely-used free office suite. (They DO request donations, however).


• NotePad++- A GREAT text editor. This one is free, by the way.


• Handbrake v1.3.3- A great free DVD ripper. There ARE newer versions, but this one is my favorite.


• Leawo Blu-ray and DVD Ripper (commercial, two separate products)- An easy-to-use ripper- Copy your videos to disk to view later.


• Adobe Photoshop Elements (commercial)- A scaled-down version of Photoshop, but with more power than you typically need for non-professional use.


• Cyberlink Power Director (commercial)- The best and easiest video editor I have ever used.
